For a few months now I’ve been dabbling with the idea of starting a mom tog tips post which I could post once a week and would hopefully help some moms out there that love capturing photographs of their little ones as they grow. I’ve decided to just dive into it and see if there’s any interest. I hope mommies find these tips over the next few weeks useful and relevant.
I am a self-taught photographer, I picked up a camera about 7 years ago, a Nikon D5000, at the time, and started photographing my 18 month old nephew and that’s how I discovered a passion for photography. I loved being able to capture whatever he was doing at the time and later look at the photograph and be able to figure out what he was thinking or learning or feeling and I loved the way the lighting could affect the whole mood of the photograph. I believe photographs should evoke emotions, capture personalities and memorialize moments.
So from next week every Monday I will be showing you some photography tips and tricks I’ve learnt over the years to get better photographs of your own little ones. Send in your questions by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject mamarrazi and I’ll try to answer as many as I can, whether you need help figuring out your camera, you’re wondering about using lighting or you’d just like to know a few tips and tricks for getting natural photographs of your little one.
Take a look up above for the very first photograph I ever took that made me fall in love with photography.
